MONTGOMERY RIDGE
On November 11, 1993 the British Columbia Government named a ridge to honour, RCAF Warrant Officer Donald Montgomery, R101199, from Ladner, a 415 Squadron wartime fatality. He was killed in a training exercise out of Ford RAF Station, Sussex England, 3 April 1943. Buried at Littlehampton Cemetery, Sussex, grave D- 4273. Montgomery's father, William Montgomery had purchased a farm adjacent to Boundary Bay before WWI; the farm was expropriated early in WWII to become the RCAF Boundary Bay Flying School, and after the war the site became the Boundary Bay Airport.
